Signing Petitions
I just returned from my local WalMart which seems to always have solicitors looking for you to sign a petition. Today’s petition was about term limits OR was it?
About a year ago, there were numerous petitions circulating at groceries and WalMarts seeking signatures for a bill to strengthen the California Three Strikes law. However, the bill had been written by a coalition of prisoners’ families and advocates. Do you really believe that these people want to strengthen Three Strikes? In terms of honesty, do you believe that they would tell you that it was designed to weaken the law?
I never sign these petitions and suggest that you not either. If you are unwilling to read or research what you are signing, then you could get exactly what you deserve.
